The mission of the Stanford Entrepreneurs for Latin America (SELA) is to create and educate a network of future leaders in business, technology, and social innovation in the Americas in order to foster a global entrepreneurship community aware of Latin American affairs. SELA is an international organization of students primarily aimed at forging bonds between students, professionals and academics interested in Latin America, in order to promote development and encourage greater investment in the region, through the creation of opportunities for future business leaders. We accomplish this goal through three main activities: an ongoing speaker series, networking events, and a conference.
SELA hosts speakers who are industry leaders, prominent academics, and successful alumni to discuss various aspects of entrepreneurship—from the initial vision to the sustainable, successful enterprise. SELA also hosts conferences and networking events to bring together entrepreneurial students from Stanford and relevant Professors and members of the Silicon Valley community that will focus on future business opportunities in emerging Latin American markets. Stay tuned for upcoming events!
